Our Committments
In 2026, we introduced a new strategic plan built around four commitments: cultivating talent, operational excellence, preserving independence, and amplifying our impact. It was shaped by input from the Foundation’s Board of Regents and the grocers we serve — and it’s already putting our work on stronger footing.
Cultivate Talent
Creating pathways and programs that welcome diverse, skilled talent into the industry and give them the tools to succeed. This includes frontline worker training, leadership development, and scholarships.
Operational Excellence
Equipping independent grocers with the resources, consulting, and tools to support innovation and sustainable business growth. The Grocer Solutions Center is at the heart of this work.
Preserve Independence
Building a leadership pipeline and succession planning framework so family-owned, employee-owned, and privately held grocers can preserve their legacy across generations.
