SNAP Online

Through SNAP Online, retailers can offer their SNAP EBT-participating customers a more secure, convenient way to pay for groceries. SEMTAC offers free guidance and support to all grocers navigating the SNAP Online application process.

In this video, you’ll learn more about the rapid growth of SNAP Online and how it’s connected millions of shoppers nationwide with easy, one-click access to the food they need.

Who SEMTAC Helps

  • Retailers who have a brick and mortar (in-store) FNA authorization to accept SNAP
  • Retailers that USDA Food and Nutrition Administration (FNA) identifies as SNAP stores
    • Grocery stores, direct marketing farmers, delivery routes, nonprofit buying co-ops
  • SNAP retailers who own the inventory they sell
    • Many farmers markets are not eligible for SNAP Online because SNAP Online retailers must own the inventory they sell

Is SNAP Online Right for You?

If you are a retailer who wants to make SNAP Online available to your customers, you must be approved by the FNA. The application process differs, depending on whether or not your brick-and-mortar location already accepts SNAP EBT, for example, or whether you have an online eCommerce presence.

Are you an online-only retailer? SEMTAC can help you understand the technical requirements and submit your Letter of Intent (LOI) to apply for SNAP Online. (FNA is still determining eligibility requirements for online-only retailers.)
