EBT Chip Cards

Chip-enabled SNAP EBT cards are now rolling out nationwide, with additional states starting projects almost weekly. EBT Chip is different from a credit card chip; it requires point-of-sale (POS) software updates. Retailers should prepare for EBT chip card acceptance as soon as possible.
