“NGA welcomes the progress made on the Farm Bill by both chambers of Congress. Independent grocers play a vital role in the SNAP program, ensuring diverse food options for families in need. We appreciate the House Agriculture Committee’s efforts to streamline nutrition incentives program and to enhance funding for nutrition incentives and the Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI). We look forward to further elaboration on the House proposal in the coming days.”
