WGA Engagement Event: Navigating the Myths of Women in the Workplace
Tuesday, February 26 – 1:30-3:00pm – Room 25C
Join the Women Grocers of America (WGA) as Dr. Jessica Kriegel discusses how managers, political pundits, and the media consistently use gender and generational stereotypes to make decisions and predictions, presuming to understand the collective tastes, ambitions, values, and work habits of people based on one characteristic. This results in miscommunication among team members, lower productivity, and worse. During the session, Dr. Kriegel will share seven steps to becoming an agent for change to bust stereotypes and work more effectively, plus explain how interpersonal dynamics contribute the most to business success. The presentation will be followed by an interactive discussion and networking time.
