Fareway Meat & Grocery has opened its new Fareway Meat Market on Ward Parkway in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City, Mo. The grocer held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the store on Monday with community leaders, customers, employees and representatives from its new neighborhood.
The company said the new store is a replacement for the existing Fareway Meat Market location on 79th Street and Ward Parkway and succeeds the original Fareway Meat Market.
The new 11,660-square-foot Fareway Meat Market store features an expanded deli counter, a full-service butcher counter and a walk-up window where shoppers can get ready-to-order meals. The store will also offer additional specialty items and fresh produce.
