Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is the closest airport to our event.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) are additional options that require about 1hr+ travel time to get into D.C.

Nicknamed "America's front yard" the National Mall is home to a variety of monuments, memorials, and museums. 

 

National Museum of American History - FOOD: Transforming the American Table 

Julia Child’s home kitchen, with its hundreds of tools, appliances, and furnishings, serves as the opening story of the Museum’s first major exhibition on food history. From the impact of new technologies, to the influence of social and cultural changes, the exhibition explores the transformation of food and drink in post-WWII America, as well as what we know (or think we know) about what’s good for us.

 

 National Portrait Gallery 

The Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery (open daily between 11:30 - 7pm) continues to narrate the multi-faceted and ever-changing story of America through the individuals who have shaped its culture. Featuring a variety of exhibits like America's Presidents, The Struggle for Justice, and more 

 

Washington Nationals Game 

The Washington Nationals play at Nationals Park, which is situated along the Anacostia River in the Navy Yard neighborhood of Washington, D.C.

 

Arlington National Cemetery & Tomb of the Unknown Solider 

Arlington National Cemetery, the most famous cemetery in the country, is the final resting place for many of our nation’s greatest heroes, including more than 300,000 veterans of every American conflict, from the Revolutionary War to Iraq and Afghanistan.

 

Walk Embassy Row 

Embassy Row is a stretch of Massachusetts Avenue NW that runs through Dupont Circle towards the National Cathedral that is home to more than 170 embassies based in the Nation's Capital.
