Executive Leadership Development Program

Implementing organizational and cultural changes in order to execute new strategies are imperative skills for effective leaders. The NGA Foundation Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP) is designed to develop and prepare leaders to face business challenges in the 21st century marketplace.

Online Training

The NGA Online Training and Education Center is a people development organization supported by The Coca-Cola Company. As an educational organization, it serves more than 40 companies with a blended training program that includes over  160 industry-specific online courses divided into nine different libraries designed for the independent retailer. Courses are cloud-based, available in several languages, and  feature topics such as food safety and sanitation basics, emotional intelligence, and meat wrapping.

Retail Management Certificate Program

Established in 2000 by the WAFC, the Retail Management Certificate is an accredited business program that provides associates with the necessary skills to become successful managers and leaders in the retail industry. Since its beginning, the program has grown from one community college to 135+ community colleges across the Western United States and one national online program. The Certificate is available to anyone and can be completed in as little as one year.

Women Grocers of America

The Women Grocers of America (WGA) is the sole organization representing female grocers and other women affiliated with the independent food industry. WGA specifically serves as NGA’s career development network for active female professionals as well as students interested in pursuing independent retail grocery careers.
