N.G.A. Releases Guide to the USDA Final Rule for Nutritional Labeling of Ground or Chopped Meat and Poultry Products and Single Ingredient Products
The USDA issued a final regulation that requires mandatory nutritional labeling on individual packages of ground or chopped meat and poultry products, effective beginning March 1, 2012. To help our members understand the regulation further, N.G.A. has created a Resource Guide that breaks down the final rule and includes relevant Questions and Answers from the USDA's website that was posted on June 9, 2011.
