ShopRite Hosts Labor Day Weekend BBQ to Benefit the Community
Over the Labor Day weekend, ShopRite of Newton had a great smelling, delicious tasting bar-be-que outside the store. Proceeds from this event benefited local food banks. Since 1999, ShopRite Partners In Caring has donated over $40 million to Feeding America Food Banks. Online Grocery Growth Accelerating
It should come as no surprise that ecommerce is becoming an important contributor to supermarket sales, but a new study has the numbers to prove it. Online grocery purchases average 3.4 percent of total store sales for supermarkets offering the service, but the number jumped to 5.2 percent of total sales for those retailers that have had the service for at least four years, according to Brick Meets Click's new "Grocery Ecommerce Supermarket Scorecard Report."
