Women Grocers of America (WGA) serves as an information and advisory arm to the National Grocers Association supports and encourages the education of students pursuing a career in the grocery industry through its Mary Macey Scholarship program; supports and recognizes retail/wholesale women in the industry through its annual Woman of the Year award; encourages all segments of the food industry to promote breast cancer awareness and prevention; participates in and supports the programs offered by the National Grocers Association

• Mary Macey Scholarship
  The Women Grocers of America (WGA) offers a minimum of two (2), $1,000 scholarships each year to qualified students planning a career in the grocery industry.  Download a .pdf of the Mary Macey Scholarship Form (89 kb .pdf). • The WGA Woman of the Year Award
  The WGA Woman of the Year Award is awarded each year at the N.G.A. Annual Convention and was established to recognize an industry retail or wholesale woman who is currently
  • a community-focused citizen committed to serving the needs of her neighbors, associates and customers through involvement in community and civic affairs.
  • active or recently retired from the industry, whose leadership contributes/contributed to the success of her company;
  • a member of the National Grocers Association and other industry organizations whose participation and involvement contributes/contributed to the overall well-being of the grocery industry; and
