Welcome and Introduction:
The N.G.A. Creative Choice Awards Contest consistently recognizes the best advertising and merchandising efforts in the grocery industry. Creativity and innovation have consistently defined promotional activities in the industry, and the contest brings attention and acclaim to these fantastic events that are largely unseen outside of the local market. Winners of the coveted Best of Show award in Advertising and Merchandising also receive a grand prize travel package, courtesy of the Kellogg Company and Unilever! 2010 Winners and Best of Show Announced:
The Winners of the 2010 Best of Show Award in Advertising and Merchandising were announced at the Grocers Awards Reception, February 10, 2010, at the N.G.A. Annual Convention in Las Vegas Paris Hotel, Las Vegas, NV.
The Best of Show in Advertising went to Miss Cordelia's Grocery of Memphis, TN for their promotion “Mobile Phone - Sandwich Order.” The Best of Show in Merchandising went to Niemann Foods of Quincy, IL for their “County Market – Campus Location Promotions/Marketing” campaign.
The National Grocers Association (N.G.A.) held the judging for their 2010 Creative Choice Awards Contest in December, where winners were selected in each of the 25 advertising and merchandising categories. A record number of entries were received this year, almost 100 more than last year, reflecting N.G.A.’s diverse and robust membership base of independent retail grocery stores. See list of winners.
