Asparagus Club Scholarship Applications Open
N.G.A. and The Asparagus Club are pleased to announce that applications for the Asparagus Club college scholarships are being accepted for the next academic year.  The retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and state association executives who belong to the Asparagus Club are a highly motivated group of industry leaders who are dedicated to the future of the grocery industry.  There is no better way to ensure a healthy future for the grocery industry than by ensuring a constant stream of talented young people who want to make a career in this fascinating and ever-changing business, particularly in the independent retail and wholesale sector.

Since 1990, the Asparagus Club Scholarship Program has provided over $850,000 in scholarships to students preparing for careers in the grocery industry.  In just the past five years, the Asparagus Club awarded over $100,000 to young men and women who have set out on the road to careers in the industry.

The Asparagus Club scholarships are one-year awards that range in amounts up to $3,000, for up to two years. The awards may be used at any accredited, nonprofit college or university in the United States for students who will be entering their senior year.
