The Grocers Awards Reception was held at the 2009 
N.G.A. Annual Convention in Las Vegas. Sponsored by Kellogg Company and Unilever, the reception features the recipients of the 2009 Creative Choice Awards winners and the Progressive Grocer Outstanding Independents Awards.
N.G.A.'s 2009 Creative Choice Awards Contest recognizes the best advertising and merchandising efforts in the grocery industry. As well as selecting winners for each category, the judges also picked the Best of Show in Advertising, Trading Company Stores and in Merchandising, Coborn’s, Inc. In its annual Outstanding Independent Awards, Progressive Grocer recognized Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc., Mi Pueblo Foods, and Bozzuto's, Inc.
