This national/international programming series addresses the challenge of feeding our planet’s growing population by featuring the world’s most promising case studies and findings. Feast or Famine highlights the best practices of the food and agricultural industry. Producers look for stories that demonstrate a positive impact on the food supply chain, showcasing how the world’s food supply is protected and suggests improvements and solutions moving forward.
Food Supply Chain Safety
This episode looks into the Food Supply Chain, from “farm to fork”. The National School Lunch Program is used as an example throughout this program as we describe the food safety checks and balances within each of these food supply chain categories. This episode, we closely worked with the USDA to ensure our content is accurate and represents current issues and practical solutions. The program outlines the most dangerous food born organisms in the food supply chain along with the Science, Technology and Policy in place to maintain safe food.
Soil Quanlity, Conservation and Food Production
This episode looks into the improvement of soil quality, the reduction of soil erosion and the impact that soil has on feeding the world. This episode’s objectives are to educate the viewer about:
1. The importance of maintaining good soil quality;
2. The various techniques to preserve topsoil; and
3. The impact soil quality has on food production.
In this episode, Feast Or Famine worked closely with the USDA, the University of Wisconsin Madison, the Center for Global Food Issues, The Rodale Institute and other leading experts to help us delivery important information about Organic Farming, Conservation Tillage, Buffer Zones and the use of Biotechnology.
